Here's one for all the Slade fans out there!
The Drowns have never been shy to acknowledge their influences and, since day one, Slade has been high up on that list.
To quote Rev, “Their energy and Rock’n'Roll sound is nothing short of pure sonic truth.” The minute that the Drowns started jamming “Know Who You Are“ in the studio, they knew it was going to be great, and FUN! We at Pirates absolutely agree, and together all felt this was definitely worthy of its own plate of wax! (…further solidified by the ridiculous photo they took for the front cover!)
Paired with a brand new ripper called “Guidelines of Control“, this 7” is just chock-full of big riffs, driving rhythms, amazing guitar solos, and even a cowbell! This is The Drowns take on amped up classic rock and roll - with equal parts spit and swagger!
